Year 5 Cooks Up Creativity in Design and Technology Project
Year 5 children recently embarked on an exciting design and technology project, where they had the opportunity to prepare and cook a delicious bolognese sauce. This comprehensive unit involved researching different ingredients, adapting a recipe, and examining nutritional values.
The children then took their creativity a step further by designing a brand and label for their sauce. The project culminated last week with the children cooking the sauce from scratch. Throughout the process, they learned essential kitchen skills, such as safely chopping, grating, and peeling vegetables in various ways.
